Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) is a national effort coordinated by the American Association of Persons with Disabilities (AAPD) to promote career development for students and job-seekers with disabilities through hands-on career exploration and ongoing mentoring relationships. We are still needing employers for our vendor booths. There are also opportunities to volunteer to conduct mock interviews and resume assistance. With more than 100 attendees, the coffees are the largest weekly networking event in the Kansas City metro area. They are held on Thursdays at a different member business or organization each week. Networking begins at 9:00, with a half hour program at 9:30, followed by additional networking for those who want to continue. Guests are welcome!
