UPDATE 7.17.24: All booths for the August Fourth Fridays event have been sold. Thank you all for participating, and be sure to mark your calendars for next year! Event Dates: Fourth Friday (May 24, June 28, and August 23) Event Location: Downtown Olathe, Green Space Event Time: 6 PM – 9 PM (Vendor Set up 4 PM – 5:30 PM) All vendors need to be set up by 5:30 PM and stay for the entirety of the event. Projected Attendance: 4,200 - 4,700 attendees per event Audience: residents, visitors, businesses Our Fourth Friday Series has become a family friendly summer tradition in Olathe. This free event offers live music, kids’ activities, food trucks, beer gardens, and so much more. Join us to highlight and promote your business. Offer marketing materials, promotions, sell products or services, offer samples, and much more.   *Vendor Booth – All Vendors are required to bring all necessary items for their booth, including table, chairs, tent, product, and more. *We encourage all booths to have a children’s friendly activity to aid in attendee interaction. **If sales are made, paperwork from the Kansas Dept. of Revenue for sales tax is required to be submitted on your behalf.

Paws and Pedals

We're partnering with Ottawa Bike and Trail to offer you a chance to hit the trails with your community! Are you a beginner cyclist? No worries! Jeff at Ottawa Bike has prepared three different routes, so you can choose the one you're most comfortable with. These routes include: 10-mile route 20-mile route 40-mile route We'll gather at 7:30 AM for snacks and puppy playtime, and we'll prepare to leave at 8:00 AM! The routes will circle back to bring you to your car at Prairie Paws, so no need to arrange for rides. We can't wait to see you out on the dusty trails on July 27th at 7:30 AM!

Artists Talk and Reception for Fall Exhibitions

Join us for the opening of the museum’s fall exhibitions and for artists’ talks with Emilio Villalba, Gabriel Mills, and Joel Daniel Phillips. The artist talk will occur online and in person at the Hudson auditorium. A reception will follow the lecture. Free and open to the public. Register online for artist talk livestreaming link. Villalba (b. 1984) received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco in 2012 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from the Art Institute of California, Santa Ana in 2006. Mills (b. 1992) received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking from the Yale School of Art, New Haven, CT, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and Art History from the University of Hartford, Hartford, CT. Phillips (b. 1989) studied at New York Center for Art and Media Studies in 2009 and received his BFA from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA in 2011. The Actions for the Earth: Art, Care, & Ecology, Emilio Villalba: Everything is Something, and Gabriel Mills exhibitions will be on view in the Nerman Museum August 9 through December 8, 2024. The Permanent Collection exhibition will be on view August 9 through October 13, 2024.
