Buckle Up & BBQ is Kids and Car Safety's signature family-friendly fundraiser, taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 12:00–3:00 PM at Eagle's Landing at Lake Olathe in Olathe, Kansas. This fun-filled afternoon brings together families, community partners, and supporters for delicious barbecue, live entertainment, a craft BBQ cook-off, silent auction, touch-a-truck experiences, bounce houses, face painting, and activities for all ages. Proceeds from the event support Kids and Car Safety's lifesaving mission to prevent child hot car deaths, backover incidents, and other preventable vehicle-related tragedies through education, advocacy, and public awareness. |

Our speakers are: Tyler Kisling, Focal Point Business Tyler Kisling is a Certified Business and Executive Coach with more than 30 years of experience in technology, data, and enterprise software sales, including the last 17 years with IBM and Teradata. Throughout his career, Tyler worked with complex organizations navigating changing technology, competing priorities, and the constant pressure to adapt and execute. Today, he brings that experience into his coaching practice, helping business owners and leadership teams gain clarity, improve execution, and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment. A key area of focus is helping leaders understand how AI can be applied practically within their organizations - not simply as a technology initiative, but as a tool to improve decision-making, productivity, and business performance. Tyler works with leaders who want to stay ahead of change, strengthen their leadership capabilities, and build organizations positioned for sustainable growth. Drew Foster, WaterOne Drew Foster is the Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer at WaterOne, where he oversees infrastructure, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert on artificial intelligence. Prior to WaterOne, Drew was the IT Architect for KVC Health Systems and, before that, the IT Director for SEK Mental Health Center. His experience spans enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and the practical application of AI. He has spent significant time researching and evaluating AI technologies, developing prompting best practices, introducing AI tools within engineering teams, and advising on AI governance and policy considerations. 24/7 indoor golf simulator facility to celebrate with hole-in-one contest, golf cart giveaway, and community partners The Back Nine Golf – Olathe, a state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator facility located at 11108 S. Lone Elm Road, will celebrate its Grand Opening on Saturday, September 27th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
