OLATHE, KS – Say "hasta luego!" to the majestic Monarch butterfly during a vibrant, family-friendly event hosted by the Johnson County Extension Master Naturalists in partnership with Monarch Watch. This free public celebration is packed with interactive activities, engaging exhibits, and hands-on learning for all ages.
Witness the awe-inspiring journey of monarch butterflies with live tagging and releasing demonstrations, and discover the incredible world of caterpillars through the “Caterpillar Wonders” exhibit by the Johnson County Extension Master Gardeners.
Additional highlights include:
· Insights on bird conservation for species such as Bluebirds, Prothonotary Warblers, and Purple Martins
· Strategies for controlling invasive plant species
· Educational displays include native bees, milkweed, water quality, rain barrels and more. The Extension Master Naturalists provide simple things everyone can do to support nature and Parson’s Gardens will have native plants available for purchase.

· A vibrant native garden on-site
