Domestic Relations Mediation Training

ThFSa | April 13 - 15 | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. | Elizabeth Mayfield | In Person | $479 You will learn to apply mediation principles to situations involving divorcing parents who are in dispute over their children, disputes pertaining to access to their children or co-parenting matters. Course material includes a review of mediation principles, application to divorce situations, child development, conflict theory, ethics, Kansas laws, resource development, and networking. Participate in several role-play activities to practice your skill development. Prerequisite: Principles of Core Mediation. Upon completion of this course and a Domestic Practicum you can apply with the state of Kansas to be an approved domestic mediator.

Chamber Coffee at ER of Olathe

With more than 100 attendees, the coffees are the largest weekly networking event in the Kansas City metro area. They are held on Thursdays at a different member business or organization each week. George Hinchliffe’s Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has been featured in a CNN report in 2012 and on CBS’ “This Morning” in 2013. The Orchestra has been invited by the British Broadcasting Corporation to play live on air for BBC Radio 3 (the classical music channel), as well as for BBC Radio 1 (the rock, Electronic Dance Music and youth music channel) and live on other BBC channels many times. They have taken part in The Electric Proms (in a collaboration with The Kaiser Chiefs), and the BBC Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London (The Proms), where they were the fastest selling late-night prom in history, selling many thousands of tickets for the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London. Original compositions and songs by the Orchestra have been used on television, in film and in radio plays, as well as in performances by other musicians. The orchestra has collaborated with the British Film Institute in providing music for silent films and musically with Madness, Robbie Williams, Ant & Dec, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Stefan Raab, Rainer Hersch and a full symphony orchestra performing at the Royal Festival Hall in London. George Harrison was a well-known fan who established contact and played with the orchestra.

Please join Prairie Paws Animal Shelter for an afternoon of topgolf to raise money for homeless animals.  We are hosting a tournament style golf game with 3 person teams.  To play costs $75/person and includes a generous assortment of food along with non-alcoholic beverages.  There will be prizes awarded to the winning team and a chance to participate in our raffle of a cooler of booze!  Our shelter offers rehabilitation to dogs and cats that deserve a second chance at life.  We offer low cost spay and neuter appointments in an owner in need of our services.  We hope you will consider joining us for an afternoon of fun and opportunitiy to raise money for the voiceless.

Our CDL Class A certificate meets all state and federal requirements for truck driver training.
