Warm Fourth Friday party draws a crowd

It may have been a bit warm last Friday, but that didn’t stop the crowds from making their way downtown for the June Fourth Friday celebration in Olathe.

The annual parties are sponsored by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce’s Olathe Convention & Visitors Bureau. They are back in downtown Olathe in full force this summer. The next one is set for Friday, July 22.

There were plenty of kids’ activities like face painters, balloon artists, glitter tattoos, caricature drawings and bubbles. The Sip ‘n’ Shop booths along Park Street where local vendors sold products, home goods, clothing, jewelry and other unique items were a big hit, too.

Last week, the Stolen Winnebagos entertained the crowd. Nashville recording artist and The Voice alum Matt Snook will take the state in July. Check him out here.

A big thanks to our Fourth Fridays sponsors the City of Olathe, Humana, Olathe Communities that Care, Simmons Bank, VanTrust Real Estate and Xfinity.
