All aboard for the Olathe Chamber 2022 Membership Drive

All aboard! The Olathe Chamber of Commerce train is rolling down the tracks, but the 2022 All Aboard Chamber Membership Drive is getting close to the station. Our annual membership drive ends this Friday.

Join the Olathe Chamber during this year’s drive and waive the enrollment fee, receive an enhanced listing in our membership directory, free mailing labels, a free eFlash ad for one month, a member minute video and so much more. Contact Melissa Hunter for more information about the membership drive.

Our team captains and teams are busy helping our membership team bring in new members throughout the drive and many of our current members are helping by offering some great team and individual prizes for those helping out. Check out a complete list of the prizes from our awesome members here.

Join us for the Chamber Social on Thursday

The next Olathe Chamber of Commerce Social is here. Please join us for the Chamber Social from 3:30 – 5 p.m. this Thursday, Sept. 29.

This Chamber Social is hosted by Humana and the Embassy Suites Hotel and Olathe Conference Center and will take place at the Embassy Suites, 10401 S. Ridgeview Road. We can’t think of a better setting for our newest networking opportunity on what is sure to be a wonderful fall evening.

The third and final Chamber Social offers networking opportunities in a different setting and offers a completely different feel. But one thing is for certain, networking is the name of the game.

Save the date for this year’s State of the City Luncheon

Make plans to attend the Oct. 28 State of the City Luncheon to hear all the great things happening in our wonderful city. Be sure to register today.

The annual luncheon is hosted by the Olathe Chamber with Olathe Health as our presenting sponsor and will take place at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Olathe Conference Center.

There will be a video presentation and Olathe Mayor John Bacon will review some of the city’s accomplishments over the past year.

A huge thanks to the City of Olathe, Farmers Insurance, Garmin, Gilmore Bell, Humana, John Deere, McCownGordon Construction and Terracon for helping to sponsor the event.

Leadership Olathe accepting applications, planning blood drive

The Olathe Chamber of Commerce’s popular and highly successful Leadership Olathe program is now accepting applications for the 2023 class.

This marks the 42nd year of the program open to residents of Olathe. It will be conducted in nine, full-day sessions running January through May. For more information and applications, visit here.

Additionally, Leadership Olathe will be hosting a blood drive on Halloween. Don’t let the ghosts and goblins keep you from saving a life by donating blood anytime between 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 at Olathe Ford Lincoln.

Johnson County Community College Workforce Development & Continuing Education and their Business Breakfast Series is presenting “Reboot Retention – Discuss, Discovery and Solve,” from 7 – 9 a.m. on Oct. 14 at the Capital Federal Conference Center at the Regnier Center on the campus of JCCC. Make plans to participate in the Olathe Police Foundation Inaugural Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 29 at HomeField, 1671 E. Kansas City Road. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Olathe Police Foundation. The registration deadline for the double-elimination tournament is Oct. 15. Check here for more info or to register.

The Fall Parade of Homes, sponsored by Mike Bryant Heating & Cooling, kicks off on Sept. 24 and runs through Oct. 9. the fall parade will feature 269 homes in eight counties across the KC Metro area. Check here for more information, please visit KCParadeofHomes.com.

The Heart of America Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is helping celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Olathe Naval Air Station and the 55th anniversary of the Johnson County Airport Commission at a special party from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Commemorative Air Force Hangar, 6 Aero Plaza at the New Century AirCenter. Stop by to check out flight simulators, kids activities, photo opportunities, a Navy dog tag machine and other cool museum exhibitions.

Volunteers are needed the evening before the Nov. 11 Olathe Community Prayer Breakfast. They need 15 volunteers to help set up tables on Nov. 10. Please contact Christy Forquer at 913-563-5100 for more information.

Donate blood from 12:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the Indian Creek Library. Appointments can be schedule. at RedCrossBlood.org and searching for the sponsor code “OlatheLibrary.”

NOTE: You can reach the Olathe community and beyond through the Chamber’s online calendar of events. Members can complete the online form and then submit their events online for approval by staff. If you have multiple day events, a form must be submitted for each day. Listings must meet the established criteria.
