USYS Midwest Regionals headed to Olathe in 2024, 2025

Another great win for the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The United State Youth Soccer Association has selected Olathe and Overland Park to host their 2024 and 2025 Midwest Regional Championships. The tournaments will be held at both the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex and the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex.

“This is a big win for the City of Olathe, the Olathe Convention & Visitors Bureau, the county and our entire region,” said Kelly Peetoom, vice president of the Olathe Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In collaboration with VisitOP, Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex and the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex, we look forward to welcoming USYS, coaches, players and families.”

The collaboration is a major reason both Olathe and Overland Park were able to win the prestigious tournament for both 2024 and 2025. With more than 7,000 hotel rooms between the two cities and 21 full synthetic fields, there will be plenty of room for soccer teams and families from across the region.

Downtown Olathe Library, Chamber open doors

The doors are finally open. Thousands turned out for the Downtown Olathe Library grand opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday.

We couldn’t have scripted it any better. It was a perfect spring day to show off the latest and greatest addition to the ever-evolving downtown Olathe landscape.

And that’s not the only big news. Olathe Chamber of Commerce has moved downtown, too. The Chamber’s new address is 260 E. Santa Fe, Suite 101.

We’re on the first floor of the brand-new Olathe Downtown Library. The multi-story building features a large flexbox space, a café, numerous meeting and study rooms, a rooftop terrace, and a special Olathe history collection.

We’re so excited to open our doors in downtown Olathe. We can’t think of a better place to be. We’re now right in the heart of our gorgeous downtown that’s in the midst of a renaissance.

It’s a great time to be in downtown Olathe. Stop by and see us!

Check out some photos from the big day in downtown Olathe here.

Join us for a day on the greens to network with community leaders and business professionals at one of our most popular events of the year.

The cost for a foursome is $1,500 and that price includes greens and cart fees, golf balls, lunch, a goody bag for each golfer, snack, and all your beverages.

A big thanks to Garmin, Gilmore Bell and McCownGordon for sponsoring this year’s Chamber Golf Classic. Our lunch sponsor is Pickleman’s and our coffee sponsor is Scooters.

Our annual tournament would be nothing without the help of our wonderful volunteers. If you’d like to help volunteer at this year’s tournament, please reach out to Sara Misemer for more information.
