Help us welcome new educators this fall

Opportunity to Welcome
New Educators

This fall, Olathe Public Schools is welcoming 275 new educators and the Olathe Chamber of Commerce is here to help.

Each year, we partner with Olathe Public Schools by collecting coupons and marketing “swag” to add to welcome bags that are given out to each of these new educators to welcome them into our community. We’re reaching out to you to help us roll out the red carpet for all these new educators.

If you’re interested in donating 275 items or coupons, this is a perfect opportunity to promote your business to those educators who are new to our community. All items must be received by July 16. Please fill out this form to arrange pick up or drop off.

KU Health cuts ribbon new Quivira campus

The ribbon has been cut on the brand-new, state-of-the-art University of Kansas Health System Quivira Campus, bringing leading-edge specialty care from one of the region’s premier academic medical centers to the southeast edge of Olathe.

The facility will help fulfill the health system’s promise to bring more care close to home in the Olathe community and will open to the public in mid-June

The first building on the Quivira Campus, Quivira Medical Pavilion A, will offer care in orthopedics, physical and occupational therapy, plastic surgery and urology as well as lab and imaging services.

Olathe Soccer Complex 019

Calling all soccer fans

The United States Youth Soccer Region II Championships are coming to Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex and Scheels Soccer Complex in Overland Park in late June thanks to the work of the Olathe Chamber’s Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The U13-U17 tournament will take place from June 21-28 and will be the largest soccer tournament in Johnson County history and they need your help. Bracket play will take place at Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex from June 21-23.

Volunteer help is needed for a tournament of this scale. Volunteers are needed to support referees, players and USYS staff throughout the tournament. This support staff will be paid $15 an hour and must be at least 14 years old. Sign up now, if you’d like to help or pass the link along to a fried to help us make this a tournament to remember.

Let us know what’s going on

From the awesome Fourth Friday events to the monthly Sip ‘n’ Shop events and Olathe Live! concerts, there’s plenty going on in Olathe this summer.

We know there’s plenty more going on across our wonderful community, too. And the Olathe Chamber’s Convention & Visitors Bureau wants to let everyone know about all these great events. That’s where you come in.

If you have an event coming up this summer and want us to get the word out, please send it our way and we’ll highlight it on our social media channels.
