Happy new year from the Olathe Chamber

All of us at the Olathe Chamber of Commerce would like to wish everyone a safe and prosperous new year. This year promises to be a great one and we can’t wait to get things started.

We’ll see you all at our first Chamber Coffee of the year at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the Courtyard by Marriott, 12151 S. Strang Line Court. Let’s make this a year to remember!

First BLS to feature KC Current President Allison Howard

We can’t wait for our first Business Lunch Series event of 2023. Join the Olathe Chamber of Commerce to hear from Kansas City Current President, Allison Howard, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at the Ball Conference Center. Register now.

The luncheon will feature a conversation with the woman behind Kansas City’s professional women’s soccer team. Coming off of a remarkable 2022 season, Howard will talk about anything and everything when comes to women’s soccer.

This year, the Current took second in the National Women’s Soccer League in just their second year in the league and with a new downtown stadium in the works – the future looks bright.

Register now. The registration deadline is this Friday, Feb. 3

Olathe Chamber Annual Meeting set for March 3

Save the Date. Mark your calendar. Tell your friends and neighbors. Most of all, plan to join us. The Olathe Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting is set for 11:15 a.m. on Friday, March 3 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center.

This is a great chance to network with friends and peers; learn more about some of the individuals and companies that have helped make Olathe what it is today; and help us recognize individuals and businesses for the achievements over the past year. It’s time to celebrate everything that happened in 2022 and look ahead to what will be another great year in Olathe.

It’s also the perfect time to help us kick off our 100th anniversary. This year’s Annual Meeting title sponsor is Olathe Health.

Register today or call 913-764-1050 for more information.

Leadership Olathe still looking for liaisons

The Leadership Olathe Steering Committee is looking for a few Leadership Olathe alumni to be liaisons for the Class of 2023. The liaisons will work with a member of the current class and help them throughout the course of their journey through Leadership Olathe. The Olathe Chamber of Commerce has helped provide the liaisons for each student in each class.

The Leadership Olathe process can sometimes be a bit daunting. As a liaison, you’ll meet regularly with a current student and help answer any questions they have, act as a sounding board or help them out along the way.

If you have any questions or you’d like to be a liaison for the Class of 2023 contact Melissa Hess.
