Congratulations to the Olathe Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Olathe Class of 2023. They became graduates of the Leadership Olathe program last week in a ceremony at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center.
The class completed the nine, full-day sessions this winter and early spring to become the 42nd class to go through the prestigious program. With alumni now numbering more than 1,000, those who have been a part of this wonderful program include elected officials, business owners, CEOs, non-profit executives, medical professionals and teachers.
From education and healthcare to local and state government, this year’s class learned how to be a leader, why they should be a leader and what it takes to be a leader. All the while, they were working hard on their class volunteer project. This year’s class chose the Olathe Family YMCA as the benefactor of their volunteer project and classmates spent the past few weeks building eight raised garden beds to help with food insecurities in our community. They’re putting the final touches on the project today as they install a greenhouse they have secured.
