Olathe voted one of America’s Best Cities to Live

Olathe was just voted one of America’s Best Cities to Live in a recent report by 24/7 Wall St., an independent financial/business news website! To determine America’s best cities to live in, the company reviewed data on the 550 cities with populations of 65,000 or more as measured by the U.S. Census Bureau. Based on a range of variables, including crime rates, employment growth, educational attainment, and housing affordability, 24/7 Wall St. identified America’s 50 Best Cities to Live.

Olathe, the only city in Kansas to make the list, was ranked 23rd on the list, earning high praise for local economy. The study noted that Olathe’s total employment rose by 14.4% between 2011 and last year, the largest increase among all cities reviewed, and that the unemployment rate in the city was just 4.6% last year, among the lower rates nationwide.
