Nearly 100 Olathe School District students from the 21st Century Academies took part in the Skills for Your Success Workshop last week at the University of Kansas – Edwards Campus.
Students each attended three different interactive sessions on business etiquette, a 30-second elevator speech and how to succeed in an interview, led by professionals from Farmers Insurance, First National Bank and Garmin. Following those sessions, the students put all that information to use by engaging in mock interviews with representatives from the Olathe business community. The workshop was funded by a grant from the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
