Chamber Annual Meeting celebrates building connections

Wow, what an event. The Olathe Chamber of Commerce 101st Annual Meeting and Luncheon, presented by Olathe Health, took place today and, man, what a day. We’re “Building for the Future” and it was evident as we shared all the great things going on in Olathe.

We welcomed more than 350 attendees to the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center to network with friends and peers, learn more about why Olathe continues to be the place where individuals and businesses want to be, and hear about some of those who had the biggest influence on our community in 2021.

Not only that, but the crowd was captivated by the incredibly informative and thought-provoking keynote speech from Carl Ice, former President and CEO and current Board Chair of BNSF Railway.

Outgoing Board Chair Kate Allen shared our successes from 2021, and new Chair Stan Holm shared his vision for this year.

Several service awards were presented to Chamber members:

  • Susan Sherman was named Citizen of the Year
  • Olathe Public Schools’ educators were named Corporate Citizen of the Year
  • Barb Newman was named Dana Ketterling Volunteer of the Year
  • Elizabeth Cowan was named Ambassador of the Year
