OMC reaches challenge grant goal

Olathe Medical Center Reaches Challenge Grant Goal

OLATHE, KAN. (November 8, 2016) – Thanks to generous donations received at the cancer center groundbreaking on Oct. 6, Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation (OMCCF) has met the $2.5 million goal put forth by the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation. The challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation required reaching $2.5 million in order to earn a $500,000 grant.

Donations for the cancer center are still being accepted. The cancer center is expected to open in early 2018.

The OMCCF is thankful for the many generous supporters who have contributed to the Cancer Center Capital Campaign.

“We are extremely grateful to our donors for the support they have given to our cancer patients and oncology staff,” said Frank H. Devocelle, President/CEO of Olathe Health System. “When donors learned nearly nine cancer patients per day are diagnosed in the OMC service area, they answered the call.”

Join us at one of our upcoming events benefiting the cancer center – 2016 Yuletide Gala and Pinot’s Palette Paint it Forward. For more information on these events or how to make a donation, visit olathehealth.org/charitableevents.com or call 913-791-4216.
