Celebrate “Hasta Luego Monarchs” at the Pollinator Prairie   The 12th annual “Hasta Luego Monarchs” celebration takes place from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, September 26th at the Pollinator Prairie, 320 South Blake Street, Olathe. Hosted by the K-State Extension Master Naturalists of Johnson County in conjunction with Monarch Watch, this free, family-oriented event features exhibits such as milkweed, native plants, rain barrels, composting, supporting pollinators, monarch tagging demonstrations, games and more! New this year, DarkSky Missouri will feature “Effects of Nighttime Light Pollution and Bats.” The Pollinator Prairie includes an ADA-compliant walkway along native pollinator gardens bursting with variety. Visitors are encouraged to check out the new plant labels that indicate suitable plants for home gardens and containers.
