GRANTHAM UNIVERSITY RECOGNIZED BY INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR COLLEGIATE BUSINESS EDUCATION
Grantham Earns First-Time Accreditation of its Business Degree Programs
LENEXA, Kan. – Grantham University, an online university that, on January 2nd, celebrated 65 years of helping military and civilian adult learners earn their college education, recently achieved first-time accreditation of its Mark Skousen School of Business. While the University has been institutionally accredited since 1961, the recent programmatic accreditation by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) further substantiates the academic excellence of its many undergraduate and graduate business programs.
Niccole Buckley, assistant chief academic officer and dean for the Mark Skousen School of Business, said, “This is a significant accomplishment for Grantham University, and one in which we take great pride. Our faculty and staff work diligently every day assisting and teaching adult learners to achieve their dreams, and our commitment to academic excellence reflects that effort.”
Programmatic IACBE accreditation is mission-driven and outcomes-based, and involves an independent, external evaluation of the institution’s business programs. To achieve its accreditation, Grantham’s School of Business participated in a rigorous self-study, underwent a comprehensive, independent peer review and demonstrated compliance with the Accreditation Principles of the IACBE. In addition, Grantham’s School of Business exhibits a solid, long-standing commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic quality in its business programs and operations.
Grantham’s School of Business’ distinction as an IACBE-accredited program further solidifies the University’s reputation as a leader and innovator in online education – consistently living up to its mission of delivering quality, accessible, affordable and professionally relevant programs for adult learners.
Also to the Business School’s credit is acknowledgement by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) that Grantham’s Human Resource program coursework fully aligns with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. Grantham University has also been reviewed and approved as a Registered Educational Provider of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Earlier this year, the financial planning degree program was approved by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. This means students who complete Grantham’s financial planning program will have the added benefit of meeting the education requirements for CFP® Certification Examination administered by the CFP Board.
