Description: Calling all daycares, summer camps, preschools, and families to join us this summer on Wednesday mornings for a free kid’s event. Olathe’s Touch-A-Truck

Location: Stagecoach Park 

Description: Alongside our Olathe Live! Concert Series, climb into a cab, honk a horn and see what it’s like to run one of Olathe’s many vehicles at Touch-A-Truck, Etc.! This family friendly interactive event will allow kids of all ages to see, touch, and safely explore heavy machinery and meet with the staff who help build and maintain the Olathe community.

Description: Celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks display near the College Boulevard Activity Center! This free community event is the perfect place to gather with family and friends as we light up the sky in honor of the 4th of July. Spectators can enhance their experience by listening to music synchronized with the fireworks, just download the Pyrocast App on your mobile device.

Independence Day: 1860s Style!

Location: Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm

Description: Celebrate the Fourth of July the 1860s way! Festivities include readings of the Declaration of Independence, cannon firings, and patriotic music, along with stagecoach rides, blacksmith demonstrations, tours of the historic farmhouse, and much more!
$9 adults; $7 kids ages 5–11; Ages 4 and under free

Description: Grab your lawn chairs and pack your picnics for an evening of live music, stagecoach rides, apple pie, and 1860s fireworks! Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m., accompanied by patriotic music and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Stagecoach rides: $3 per person, ages 3 and up

Kick It! A World Soccer Celebration

Location: Downtown Library’s Flexbox

Description: Families are invited to stop by the library during Fourth Friday in downtown Olathe for a special family program happening in conjunction with the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Fourth Friday event, Goal-the. Enjoy crafts and games for kids, a viewing of an international match, and cultural activities inspired by some of the countries playing in Kansas City.
