Olathe Chamber of Commerce promotes Wilhm, Latham
In recognition of economic development efforts
OLATHE, Kan. — Olathe Chamber of Commerce CEO Tim McKee announced today the promotion of staff members Casey Wilhm and Shannon Latham.
Wilhm, who joined the Chamber in April 2011, assumes the title of vice president, business development and Latham, on staff since May 2000, assumes the role of director for economic development.
Olathe has been a beacon for economic development in Kansas and Johnson County as during the last two years it has seen 1.75 million square feet of development space at a value of $177.1 million, resulting in 3,850 jobs created or retained.
“It is truly a team effort when it comes to economic development,” McKee said. “The City staff, the school district, our Economic Development Council and others work extraordinarily well together to create a positive climate for growth and development. I appreciate the leadership and talent Casey and Shannon display as they execute our strategies. Casey’s strong experience in real estate and his legal background, combined with Shannon’s extensive work in the incentive process provides us with the resources to execute deals that are mutually beneficial to all parties. As a team, our economic development efforts are strategic, responsive and cutting-edge.”
