Comcast opens new Xfinity store, supports Boys & Girls Clubs of KC

Comcast Celebrates Commitment to City of Olathe with New Xfinity Store and

Support of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City

Comcast will celebrate the grand opening of its new Xfinity retail store in Olathe, Kansas with a grant for $20,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas in support of the organization’s My.Future digital literacy and computer programming training initiative. Dr. Dred Scott, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, will be in attendance to receive the award. In addition, several community leaders and elected officials will attend the ceremony and official ribbon cutting for the company’s newest facility in the Kansas City area.

My.Future provides Club members with a safe, fun digital platform to showcase their computer work and earn recognition for their efforts. It’s a space where kids can interact with each other – free from the prospect of cyberbullying – and share their accomplishments locally and nationally. It’s a great way to experience BGCA’s digital programming, make friends and build a positive self-image through online achievement.

Located in the popular Olathe Station center, the new Xfinity Store retail and product demonstration showroom is designed entirely around the customer experience, providing an opportunity to explore and interact directly with the latest Xfinity products and services. The Olathe Xfinity Store is the latest opening from Comcast, which has been transforming its retail centers across the country to provide a more interactive and convenient customer experience.
